Ontario Teacher's College Interviews - has anyone recieved notification yet?

Hi -

Just wondering if anyone has recieved their letter for Teacher's College interviews?

I have applied to U of T (OISE), UOIT and York. Does anyone have any insight to when these interviews take place and when applications generally get their letters of notification?

Your help is appreciated!

apparently letters to notify prospect students of interview dates were to be sent out last week. this is quite a stressful time for me. i have heard all kinds of rumours good and bad about the admissions process and favouring minorities. have you?

I haven't recieved a letter from any of the universities. I will be so disappointed if they have gone out.

I would think that the strike has effected the process at York this year - would it have not? I am I to assume that the notifcations would be going out a lot later - or that they probably haven't gotten to them at all yet.

Anyone have any insights?

I just received an email from York this morning (it was in my inbox at 9:40) inviting me for an interview. I have also applied to UOIT but havent heard anything from them yet.

Thanks Sailor - when I saw your post I went to check my email - i got my letter as well and have set up my appointment. Hoping there are other letters when i get home tonight.

Hey guys,

I got an invitation to attend an interview at UOIT by e-mail this morning. Has anyone heard about what the interview process is like? I went onto the school website but there wasn't much info on it.

I was interviewed at UOIT last year and was accepted (but I picked another University). The UOIT interview is 2 parts, there is a written component where you need to write a response to a classroom case study, and then you are interviewed by 2 people from the University. The interview asks you to talk about your response to the case study, and general questions like why do you want to go to UOIT, why do you want to be a teacher etc. Hope this helps, and good luck!

For those who are wondering, I know for a fact that the OISE applicant profiles are being read and rated the last few weeks. As a post acceptance note for OISE, once you recieve your acceptance, you will have to fill out another profile within 1-2 weeks for 'cohort' placement.

I thought that OISE doesn't give out interviews, and neither does Ottawa. Don't they just send you either refusal or acceptance letters in April?

Also, has anybody received an invite for Wilfrid Laurier yet?
